Family favourite Cottage Pie

Cottage Pie

I make a veggie version of this but obviously you can use beef mince if you would prefer.

Serves 2


300g Quorn mince

1 onion, finely sliced

1 clove of garlic, finely chopped

1 pint of gravy

3 tablespoons of frozen peas

2 potatoes, peeled and chopped

1 tablespoon of butter

1 tablespoon of milk

A pinch of black pepper


Add potatoes to a pan of boiling water and cook

In another pan add oil and heat

Add onions and garlic and cook until light brown

Add Quorn mince and stir to make sure it doesn’t stick

Add gravy and stir

Add peas

Leave to cook on a low/medium heat

Once potatoes have cooked, drain and put into a bowl

Mash together with the butter and milk

Pour the mince mixture into a serving dish and top with mash potato

*Add a sprinkle of cheese while potato is hot if desired

Serve with extra gravy and vegetables
